About iPaceCharts
iPaceCharts was developed out of a need for more and quicker information during a race or training. Sometimes the difference between placing higher and meeting your goal comes down to just a few seconds. Picking up one second per lap is obvious once you're looking at posted times and see that you got second place by only 3 seconds.
The mathematics behind running and training is a large factor. We can't all have pace charts in our hand as we run laps or stand at the starting line. Even if we did we probably couldn't find the information quick enough. iPaceWatch will give the valuable time statistics behind the run. Not after the run is done, but before, during and after.
About our developers:
As a kid I grew up going to track meets all my life. Even before I was born my Father was a State Qualifier in the hurdles. My sister and twin cousins were three of the four runners in a mile relay that hold a state record that still stands today. (due the switching from yards to meters the record is frozen in time) I myself gravitated towards long jump and high jump and some shorter running events.
Now that my daughter has started running in high school, I now find myself in the stands cheering like a crazy person. Shouting out split times and letting her know anything that will help her performance. You can usually find her coach running back and forth on the infield giving yet even more information and encouragement.
During the process of developing our other running app, iPaceWatch, my young daughter and I worked out a deal. If she wantedt to invest $20 from her savings I would make her a partner. This has been and will continue to be a great business exercise for her.
We have really enjoyed developing this app for all of you runners, we hope that you will use it and benefit from it. It is our objective to provide you with a tool and a web site that will help you improve and advance your goals.
Please feel free contribute any feedback about the app, the sport of running, or about your personal goals and tips to our blog. If you would like to post videos of your races or training runs please do so on our YouTube channel.
Thank you,
Mike and Nicole Kastens
